Workshop: Creative Strategies to Resist Authoritarianism

We're partnering with our friends at the Beautiful Trouble to offer a training called Creative Strategies to Resist Authoritarianism.

This online workshop will take place on March 18, 2026 from 7-9:30 ET.

Register here.

Authoritarianism is on the rise globally — AND so is our power to push back. Artists and cultural workers play a pivotal role in successful people-powered movements, shaping what’s possible through story, symbol, and song and inspiring people to courageous action.

Built by and for cultural workers, this training offers insight and connection to meet this moment with strategy, courage, and creativity. Together, we’ll unpack how mass noncooperation can block authoritarian power, learn from global resistance efforts, and imagine how our craft can power collective action.

Whatever your creative medium or path, you’re part of a vital cultural frontline. Let’s grow our power, refuse compliance, and make culture that blocks, bridges and builds.

Join the workshop: Artists Against Authoritarianism!

Have you checked out our vital conversation WTF Can Artists Do During a Fascist Takeover?!

It’s a comic by the USDAC team’s Jordan Seaberry, and we’re excited to offer the next step in figuring out just WTF Artists CAN do!

On Tuesday August 12th, 7:00ET, we’re partnering with our friends at Beautiful Trouble to offer a new training: Artists and Cultural Workers Against Authoritarianism! If you read the comic and said “NOW WHAT'S NEXT?!” then this training is your next stop.
