Join Chief Policy Wonk Arlene Goldbard, Deputy Secretary Norman Beckett, and other special guests at the Bowery Poetry Club for a participatory evening of exploration around the themes of art, creativity, cultural democracy, and movement-building. Plus - music, drinks, creative prompts, new swag, and the announcement of our next big action!

At the invitation of East Lawrence friends, we will be hosting and facilitating an -

Imagining for East 9th Street
Sunday, November 16th
10 - 2pm

The location will be announced soon.

Like our big Imagining at Haskell this past June, we will transport ourselves into the future where our dreams for the neighborhood have come true. We'll explore how they came into being and what challenges were faced along the way.

The Imagining will also be a potluck - we'll share lunch during our break.

At the request of the Salina Arts and Humanities Commission, the Lawrence Field Office of the USDAC will give a presentation and lead a conversation with residents of Salina, Kansas.

At the request of the Brisbane City Council, Cultural Agent Beth Grossman will report back on the Bay Area's Imagining, sharing actionable ideas that emerged.

For one day only, we set up shop on The Floating Library, a docked boat on the Hudson River in NYC! Hop aboard our to connect fellow Citizen Artists, learn about the creative antics that lie upstream, and get in on the action. Learn more here.

Citizen Artists in New York City and across the country will take part in the largest climate mobilization in history. The Lawrence, KS Field Office will also be hosting a Maker's Party on that day, creating art in solidarity with the march.
